A SPOOKACULAR SUCCESS
On Saturday, October 26th, 2024, over 40 guests, both young and old, gathered at the Stansted St John’s Dojo for the 23rd annual Halloween Party. The air was filled with excitement as zombies, mummies, skeletons, vampires, ghosts, devils, witches, and other undead creatures came together for a night of spooky fun and karate spirit.
This year’s party featured a thrilling array of ghoulish games that kept everyone entertained throughout the evening. Favorites included the heart-pounding “Don’t Wake the Monsters,” the messy but hilarious “Zombie Brains,” and the always popular “Pumpkin Bowling.” The night reached its crescendo with an epic “Plants vs. Zombies” finale that had everyone on their feet.
Once again, our resident witches outdid themselves with a spread of delicious treats that would make any monster’s mouth water. The Halloween-themed delicacies were a hit with both the little ghouls and the grown-up goblins. Witches cackled and vampires grinned as they sipped complimentary glasses of white or rosé “poison”.
Sensei Donna would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the parents who embraced the Halloween spirit and lent a hand with the party games. Your enthusiasm and willingness to join in the fun made the evening truly magical for all our young karate kids. A special thank-you goes to Sempai Vicki Jacob for her invaluable help in packing away after the spooktacular celebration – greatly appreciated!
As the jack-o’-lanterns flickered and the last cobwebs were swept away, it was clear that the 23rd annual Halloween Party was one for the books. We can’t wait to see what spooky surprises next year’s celebration will bring!
