The grading panel, comprising Sensei Michael Ring, Sensei Donna Ring, Sensei Stuart Trow and Sensei John Neil Park, brought over 100 years of combined Karate experience to evaluate the candidates’ performances. The atmosphere in the dojo was charged with determination as Aiden Moldehnke attempted his 2nd Dan (Nidan) and Ben Miller attempted his 1st Dan (Shodan).
The club has surpassed a significant milestone of 150 black belt passes and now has a total of 152 Shodan (1st Dan) passes!
Throughout the intensive examination, both candidates were thoroughly tested on their mastery of Kihon (basic techniques), Kata (formal exercises), and Kumite (sparring). The grading demanded not only physical prowess but also a deep understanding of Karate terminology and principles. Each candidate demonstrated remarkable spirit and technical ability, showcasing the results of their dedicated training.
