Knife Defence Course
Sunday 15th November 2026
Thorley Community Centre
Course Focus
Learn practical, safety-first principles for dealing with the threat of a knife, with a strong emphasis on prevention, situational awareness, and de-escalation. This popular course highlights the realities and dangers of knife crime and reinforces one clear priority throughout: get away from danger whenever you can.
Participants wear light-coloured clothing, and we use red marker pens to visibly mark where clothing would have been cut or struck. This makes attacks (and common mistakes) instantly clear, helping students understand just how quickly injuries can occur – and why avoidance is always the best option.
Who is this course for?
This course is open to all Adult and Junior brown belts and above and is ideal for anyone who wants a realistic understanding of personal safety, along with practical skills and a clear decision-making framework.
Minimum age for this course is 10 years.
